Trailer Paint, Test Fit Dash, and a Little Landscaping
Landscaping First
Not so much got done in the shop as I spent a week at my lake house, mostly doing landscaping.
Trailer Paint
I bought a mid-90s Aluminum trailer last year, and treated it to a freshen up. The white paint is on as are the Red and Blue Stripes. Free-handed the Star to the Texas Flag on the rear door today. The blue is now on. I’ll tape off the red and white right side on later in the week.
Inside I’ve mounted a 12,000 winch and some other racing equipment. The inside walls will also get a coat of paint. More photos to follow.
The Petty Tribute
An aluminum dash has been cut and test fitted into the car. It will get pulled back out and filled with gauges and switches.
The blue-green color is a protective cover that will get removed t the very end.
Screaming Woody
Its ready for me to make a blast down the country road by my shop in the morning. If all goes well, I’ll take to Denton for the SHRA race on September 14th. If all goes well, I’ll leave early in the morning of the 17th and take it to race in Indy. If it still needs work, then I’ll take The Thug to Indy.
