I’ve hired thousands of employees, and having as many as 200 at a time. My least productive employees were cigarette smokers, especially after they had to go outside to smoke. Their addiction caused me production losses and high health insurance premiums. Towards the end, I wouldn’t hire anyone who I could smell was a smoker.
