Redneck Engineering 101

Need to solve a problem, but flat broke? Ask yourself WWRGD?

“What Would Red Green Do?”

Here are a few Pro Tips that won’t cost a handy guy a penny.

Tip 1 – Ball Hitch

Problem: Wasting Time Looking For Wrench to Remove Hitch Ball

Solution: Weld a large Crescent or Pipe Wrench to the nut

There are two other benefits as good (or better) than always having a wrench to change the ball. You now have a step, and a big plus is no one will ever tailgate you again. They will fear the wrench will fall off and bounce into their windshield.

Tip 2 – Flat Screen

Problem: Still watching a 400 pound TV from the 90s

Solution: Get that Sawzall to Work and step into the 21st Century

Tip 3 – Hand Sanitizer Station

Problem: No one will touch the Hand Sanitizer Pump

Solution: Build this foot operated dispenser from PVC pipe leftover from plumbing your outdoor urinal.

Tip 4 – Earthquake Sensor

Problem: You live in California, you fear Earthquakes, but you also drink heavily.

Solution: The answer is no further away than Hobby Lobby

Tip 5 – Making Multi-functional Tools

Problem: The hickory handle from the hammer your grandfather left you broke.

Solution: Fortunately you have an acetylene torch, some brazing rods, a crescent wrench and a grinder. Badabing-badaboom a multi-function tool.
